Get Ready for Belgium's Mandatory B2B E-Invoicing
PEPPOL (Pan-European Public Procurement On-Line) is the standardized electronic invoicing network that Belgium has chosen for its mandatory B2B e-invoicing system starting January 1, 2026.
All Belgian VAT-registered businesses will be required to send and receive structured electronic invoices using the PEPPOL BIS 3.0 standard in UBL format. This is part of Belgium's implementation of the EU's VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) initiative.
Failure to have the technical means to issue and receive e-invoices will result in fixed penalties:
Throughout this page, you'll see references to "API integration." If you're not technical, here's what that means in simple terms:
🍽️ An API is like a restaurant waiter:
In accounting software:
Why APIs Save You Time: Without an API, you'd manually export invoices from Odoo, download files, and upload them elsewhere—every single day. With an API, Belgium Accounting automatically fetches new invoices from Odoo in the background, without you lifting a finger.
Real Example: Your weather app uses an API to ask a weather service "what's the temperature in Brussels?" and gets an instant answer. It doesn't store all weather data—it just asks for what it needs, when it needs it.
We're software development experts based in Brussels who have built a flexible, affordable PEPPOL-compliant platform specifically for Belgian businesses and accounting firms. With a proven track record delivering diverse web applications and custom software solutions for Belgian enterprises, we bring technical expertise and local market knowledge to solve your 2026 compliance challenges.
Our solution integrates seamlessly with your existing workflows and can be customized to your specific requirements.
Connect to Odoo Community Edition or Enterprise. Automatically retrieve outgoing and incoming invoices from your Odoo ERP system.
Direct integration with SPF Finances' MyMinfin system for seamless Belgian tax authority reporting and compliance.
Transfer invoices to your server via FTP, WebDAV, or email—organized into client-specific folders automatically.
Full PEPPOL BIS 3.0 compliance with UBL XML format. Send and receive invoices through the official PEPPOL network.
Manage multiple client companies from one platform—perfect for accounting firms like yours.
Bank-grade encryption, audit trails, and full compliance with Belgian data protection regulations.
Based on your requirements, we can build a complete API solution that:
Self-Hosted Odoo Community Edition: Completely free API access. We just need your Odoo instance URL/IP and API credentials.
Odoo Online: Requires a paid plan (Custom plan) for API access. We support all Odoo Online tiers with API capabilities.
Belgium will introduce mandatory near real-time e-reporting to SPF Finances starting January 1, 2028. This means invoice data will be automatically transmitted to tax authorities using a PEPPOL 5-corner model.
Belgium Accounting is already preparing for 2028 compliance, ensuring you won't need to migrate systems again when e-reporting becomes mandatory.
We're currently onboarding early clients for 2026 compliance. As expert software developers with a diverse portfolio of successful projects, we can build a custom integration solution tailored to your accounting firm's exact needs.

Contact Us for IntegrationYes. Even if you use Odoo for accounting, you still need a PEPPOL access point to send and receive e-invoices through the official Belgian network. We provide that connection.
Absolutely. Odoo Community Edition has full API access with no restrictions. We can connect to any self-hosted Odoo instance.
Unfortunately, Odoo Online's free tier does not provide API access. You would need Odoo's Custom plan (paid) or use self-hosted Community Edition.
We can automatically transfer invoices via FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, or email. Invoices are organized into client-specific folders (e.g., /ClientA/2026/Q1/invoice001.pdf
).
